Description

The second-cycle (Master's degree) Civil Engineering programme enables students to expand their engineering knowledge and skills in advanced design and modern construction technologies. The programme also prepares graduates to obtain unrestricted professional qualifications. You will learn how to design complex building structures, analyse their safety and solve advanced engineering problems. You will master the use of computer tools (including BIM), construction project management and team leadership. You will acquire the competencies required to work on large-scale investments – from design through supervision to implementation.

Admission requirements:

Applicants must hold the professional title of Engineer in Civil Engineering.

During your studies you will:

  • learn to design complex concrete, steel and composite structures,
  • gain advanced knowledge of structural strength, stability and reliability analysis,
  • develop the ability to solve complex design and technological problems,
  • become familiar with advanced construction materials and building technologies,
  • learn to use computer-aided engineering tools and Building Information Modelling (BIM) in design,
  • acquire competencies in construction project management and site organisation,
  • learn methods of structural failure analysis, diagnostics and strengthening,
  • prepare for research and development activities in civil engineering.

  • Road Construction – road design and operation, pavements, traffic organisation,
  • Building Structures – advanced structural design and safety analysis,
  • Building Information Modelling (BIM) – digital design and building information management,
  • Bridges – design, maintenance and diagnostics of bridge structures,
  • Construction Technology and Management – construction process and investment project management.

Construction Assembly Technology, Structural Concrete – Selected Problems, The Technology of Frost Resistant Concrete, Mathematical Methods in Structural Mechanics, Theory of Elasticity and Plasticity, Construction Project Management, Advanced Steel Structure Design, Modernisation and Rehabilitation Technology of Road Pavements.
