Description
You will acquire advanced competencies in designing intelligent control systems and implementing innovations in line with the Industry 4.0 concept. You will master artificial intelligence methods, machine learning and fuzzy logic, while learning to program advanced microprocessor systems and SCADA systems. The programme will prepare you to integrate complex mechatronic systems and manage interdisciplinary engineering projects in an international environment.
Admission requirements:
Applicants holding the professional title of Engineer or Master of Science in Engineering are eligible for admission, provided they possess qualifications and/or competencies sufficient to undertake second-cycle studies in the given field. The admission procedure consists of two stages. In the first stage, the Faculty Admissions Committee evaluates the candidate's competencies on the basis of the submitted documents. The second stage may be conducted if the number of qualified candidates exceeds the admission limit. The Committee may additionally invite the candidate for an interview. In the case of graduates of related fields of study, the Faculty Admissions Committee assesses, on the basis of the submitted documents, whether the candidate's qualifications and competencies are sufficient to undertake second-cycle studies in the given field. Detailed admission rules are published on the University's website.
During your studies you will:
- explore artificial intelligence methods (neural networks, genetic algorithms) and their practical applications in control engineering,
- learn to design and optimise advanced control systems (linear and nonlinear) and analyse their stability,
- master advanced programming of measurement and control systems as well as PLC and CNC controllers,
- become familiar with digital signal processing techniques, control system identification and mathematical modelling of technical systems,
- learn to implement Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and machine vision systems in production monitoring processes,
- acquire skills in virtual machine prototyping, topology optimisation and digitalisation of automation systems,
- prepare to manage engineering projects, taking into account legal (patent protection) and economic aspects,
- develop language competencies at the B2+ level, enabling effective technical communication and publication of research results.
Selected courses:
The curriculum includes, among others: Advanced Control Theory, Artificial Intelligence Methods, Machine Learning, Digital Signal Processing, Measurement and Control Systems, Mechatronics, Integrated Manufacturing Systems, GUI Application Programming, Virtual Machine Prototyping, Project Management.
Career opportunities:
After graduation, you may pursue a career as:
- Lead Automation Systems Designer – developing innovative control systems and industrial software,
- Robotics and AI Specialist – implementing intelligent algorithms and integrated robotic systems in modern factories,
- Project Manager – leading interdisciplinary engineering teams in research and development (R&D) centres,
- CNC Control Systems Engineer – designing advanced manufacturing processes and software for numerically controlled machines,
- Mechatronics and Diagnostics Expert – working in scientific research institutes or technology innovation centres,
- Technology Company Owner – developing your own business focused on implementing advanced automation solutions.
Moje konto -> Formularze osobowe -> Wykształcenie i wybrać Edytuj wyniki egzaminów dla odpowiedniego dokumentu (dyplom licencjacki/inżynierski/magisterski) upoważaniającego do przystąpienia do studiów drugiego stopnia z Automatyki i Robotyki.
