Description
You will learn how to design, supervise and optimise modern energy systems by combining knowledge of power engineering, heating engineering and renewable energy sources (RES). The programme prepares you to work with advanced energy conversion technologies, electricity transmission systems and power system protection automation. You will acquire practical skills in conducting energy audits, managing power quality, and modelling energy processes using CAD environments and simulation software, enabling you to actively contribute to the country's energy transition.
During your studies you will:
- learn to design and operate electricity transmission and distribution systems,
- prepare to implement renewable energy solutions (wind farms, photovoltaic systems, heat pumps),
- master the construction and operation of electrical machines, turbines and equipment used in conventional and combined heat and power plants,
- gain knowledge of engineering thermodynamics and fluid mechanics necessary for thermal system balancing,
- learn to program industrial controllers and design power system protection automation,
- become familiar with high-voltage engineering and surge protection methods used in power networks,
- learn to perform professional energy audits of buildings and industrial installations,
- acquire competencies in energy enterprise management and the operation of the energy market.
Practical training:
- professional internship (4 weeks in total)
Selected courses:
The curriculum includes, among others: Engineering Thermodynamics, Renewable Energy and Environmental Protection, Electric Power Transmission, High Voltage Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Auditing, Power Quality, Programmable Logic Controllers, Electrical Machines in Power Engineering.
Career opportunities:
