Description

You will learn how to design, develop and supervise the manufacturing processes of modern machines and equipment using advanced computer systems. You will master professional CAD, CAM and CAE engineering software (e.g. Ansys, SolidWorks, MasterCAM, NX), while becoming familiar with 3D printing, 3D scanning, laser processing and plasma cutting technologies. You will gain practical skills in CNC programming, vehicle diagnostics, and the design of mechatronic systems and fluid power drives.

During your studies you will:

  • learn to design machine components and complex mechanical structures using professional engineering design software,
  • prepare to program and operate CNC machine tools and machining centres,
  • master engineering simulation and analysis methods, including the Finite Element Method (FEM),
  • gain knowledge of the design and operation of motor vehicles, including modern electric and hybrid vehicles,
  • learn to design machining, metal forming and welding processes,
  • become familiar with the design and operation of small arms as well as the fundamentals of forensic science (armament specialisation),
  • prepare to create industrial moulds and develop industrial product designs,
  • learn to select engineering materials, including polymers and composites, and analyse their microstructure,
  • acquire the skills to perform computer-aided dimensional measurements and manage production quality.

Practical training:

  • professional internship (4 weeks in total)

Selected courses:

Fundamentals of Machine Design, Finite Element Method (FEM), CNC Machine Programming, 3D Printing and Scanning, Laser and Plasma Technologies, Mechatronics, Strength of Materials, Automotive and Tractor Engineering, Welded Structures, Computer-Aided Design (CAD).

Career opportunities:

After graduation, you may pursue a career as:

  • Design Engineer / CAD Designer – preparing technical documentation for machines, industrial moulds and tooling,
  • Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer – developing manufacturing processes and control systems for robotic production lines,
  • Automotive Service and Diagnostics Engineer – working in vehicle service centres, transport companies or automotive manufacturing firms,
  • Welding and Materials Engineering Specialist – supervising metal joining processes and material quality control,
  • Defence Industry Expert – designing and operating weapon systems and mobile military robots,
  • Metrology Specialist – working in research laboratories (e.g. the Central Office of Measures Laboratory Campus),
  • Production Manager – managing production teams and machinery in industrial enterprises.
